Guys, @luiz_com_z just twittered this article. I thought I should pass it on.

More Tech Start-Ups Call It Quits

Jeff Yasuda, founder and chief executive of San Francisco-based online music start-up Fuzz Artists Inc., plans to shut down his Web site on Friday after deciding he couldn't drive enough visitor traffic to it to make it a viable business.

As he winds down Fuzz.com, Mr. Yasuda has cut his staff to four people from 12. He still has some money from investors and is working with his remaining staff to preserve a service called Blip.fm, which lets users share short messages about music.

"It's just brutal," says the 36-year-old Mr. Yasuda. "Had the markets been different, I would've been able to raise a lot more capital and maybe I could've given it more of a shot."

Well, it says "to preserve a service called BlipFM," so I take that to mean BlipFM is doing well-enough to warrant his business re-structure and focus on the All-Star, Blip Dot FM. I am sure they let the other site go to focus on getting more servers and time spent on Blip.

Blip is the future.

Besides, he can always SELL BLIP DOT FM to Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL, etc.

Thanks, too. Yikes. But on the up side, Blip.fm just updated their blog -- after a hiatus -- with three new posts and it doesn't sound like there's much reason to worry.

There's also a video site called blip.tv, but even though their logo is similar to blip.fm's it doesn't appear the two have anything to do with each other.

I probably should have titled this "The end of blip.fm as we know it?" lol. Nitetalker noted the update on the blip.fm blog and it sounds promising. Hopefully, in this case change is a good thing. :)
