Please list every concert you can remember going to in-person.
What was the 1st?
Which was the Best and Worst?

Do you feel that today's Ticket Prices make it so you can't go to a Concert In-Person?
Is it better to just buy the Live DVD and watch in the comfort of your home?

Comment Please. Here's my list.

Certainly don't remember all the dates and venues, but here goes.
First up probably summer of '78, The Doobie Brothers That same summer, James Taylor.
Next big one is still the ultimate personal concert experience, Bruce on the Darkness tour, pretty sure it was December 80, as he did Santa Claus is Coming to Town. After that, I have seen Bruce on every E Street Band tour stop in Detroit.
The 80's I saw Prince, Hall & Oates, Diana Ross, & The Pretenders. Also saw a Four Tops & Temptations double bill.
90's not much. Did catch the Eagles reunion tour at Tiger Stadium.
More recent years I have seen The Allman Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel Reunion show, DIana Krall, Etta James & the lame remnants of what were once The Beach Boys.
Last year caught The Police in one of their last tour dates with Elvis Costello opening. (Awesome, Sting duet w EC on Alison). Ended the year as perhaps the oldest audience member at a Coldplay show for the Viva La Vida tour.
Sure I missed a few, some great shows. Still nothing topped that first Bruce show. Seeing Bruce that first time, when he was young (and so was I) was hard act to follow even from later Bruce shows. I guess it is true, nothing like the first time.

I was at Art school in London (St Martins...a hub of creativity at that time) in the late 80's (my base is still Londn, even though I travel all over the world fo work now) and at that time used to club a lot, so hung around that whole Boy George, Leigh Bowery, Visage scene....places like the Mud Club etc. Boyfriend at that time wore as much eyeliner as I did and used to hang out with Boy George and his crowd before they hit the big time.
Was into and saw:
Virgin Prunes
Klaus Nomi
Bauhaus
Human League
Soft Cell
Adam and the Ants (snuck into a gig when I was 14)
also more mainstream - remember falling in love with Sting when I was in the front row of a massive gig they did on Tooting Common in London - he threw his towel int the audience...and guess who got it?
